Our Infant Room offers special loving care to children 6 weeks through 17 months in a welcoming environment. A four to one ratio is observed in this class. A daily report is given to the parents in order to inform them of their daily routine and accomplishments.
In our Infant Room, the children are classified as Infants(1-11months) and Toddler 1(12-17 months). Infants are fed at appropriate intervals based on their signals to our staff telling them that they are hungry or on the feeding schedule provided to Noah's Ark Academy by the parents (whicheber comes first).
Older infants or toddler1 children, who eat table foods, follow a snack and meal schedule which is listed below.
Routines such as diapering, eating and napping take place throughout the day in order to meet each child's needs.
Opportunities for both fine and gross motor skill growth are the focus of our infant's daily activities. Infants will have supervised time and space to practice holding up their heads, grabbing, lifting, rolling over, seating and crawling. Toddler1's will have opportunities to learn to stand, walk when led, play with age appropriate toys and throw a ball. To help develop their fine motor skills, opportunities to reach, grasp, color and turn pages are presented. Experiences using their senses, music and language are part of our infant stimulation program.
